HWerks was founded in September of 2007 and has grown steadily since.  HWerks is a true Herpes dating, HPV Dating and community site.  Many don't consider HWerks.com as just a Herpes dating and HPV dating site...it is much, much more! It is an entire community! We have active forums, video chat, video instant messaging, groups with their own forums, blogs and much more!  Most importantly, our members are active.  

HWerks features:

• Active forums - Our forums are VERY busy.  Not only do we talk about Herpes and HPV but we also talk about everything else under the sun!  From goofy topics, serious discussions, politics...you name it!  Our forums are not moderated, for the most part.  This has worked well for us as people tend to moderate themselves. 
• Audio/Video Chat - This is one of the most popular features on HWerks.  You can view and hear 10 people at once on their webcam.  It is all but impossible not to laugh when in here!  It is a virtual party!  You do not need a webcam to participate but you will be tempted soon after.  Want to talk one-on-one?   We have video instant messaging as well!
• Local and National Events:  HWerks is the place to go for local and national event listings.  Not only do we list them, we even sponsor some.  Indianapolis, Las Vegas and Chicago are just a few.  We believe that events are important to the community and will help promote Herpes/HPV related events.  If you have never been to an event then HWerks is a great resource.  Hunderds of people show up at national events and even some local events.  It is a great way to see that you are not the only one with Herpes and/or HPV.
• Local Groups:  HWerks also believes in supporting the local Herpes/HPV groups.  These groups are also an important part of the community.  Most hold monthly socials and parties in your area.  It is just another great way to get out and meet people in your area.
• Support: One of the greatest things about a Herpes/HPV site is that everyone is in the same boat.  Sometimes, it can be hard to deal with or you may feel uncomfortable talking about it.  Well, not anymore.  The forums are an excellent resource with people willing to answer any of your questions.  Forum posts are usually responded to in minutes.  There is also a support room in chat for a more personal feel. 
• Great people: A website is nothing without it's members.  That's what makes it great.  All too often, a site is full of old members that are no longer active or the site inflated their member numbers to appear bigger.  That is not the case with HWerks.  Our numbers are posted on the front page once you log on.  You can see the number of people that join up for the day, week and year.  Many of our members have also met each other at events and have made great friendships.  We like to think of ourselves as a community more than just a dating site.  Even members that have married or are dating someone stick around for the fun and friendship that HWerks offers.
• The other stuff:  HWerks has blogs, groups, calssified ad, multiple profile pictures and more!
